It is hard to believe that it was just about forty years ago that a small band of believers came together to begin a fellowship that has been blessed and a blessing. When I think of the excitement that was so evident when my wife I and, along with 148 believers met in a small building and the home of brother and sister Wade, led by the Spirit and covenanted together to form a new congregation

Our children, Wendell, Jeffery, Cynthia, and Ayanna, all shared in the early life of the church. Later our grandchildren served in ministry of the church. I am sure you can recall your family involvement as well. God blessed us with new members and we experienced new and rapid growth. People who were yearning for freedom to worship and serve God with a freshness was evident.

My wife and I were happy to serve such a dynamic, loving and joyful group of people. The Lord sent us the kind of people we needed to serve in leadership and ministry capacities. It wasn’t too long before we outgrew our small facilities and began a plan to build our present facilities. We were able to send out a missionary team, the Thomases, to Africa and Russia to plant new churches. Those churches are still going and growing. Many ministries were fostered and many lives were touched. Several ministers, male and female, were released to preach and teach. During this period many members transferred to other places to continue their service unto the Lord. During this time many have come to join in this celebration.

This truly is a convocation celebration. We remember those precious souls who were called home to be with the Lord. We thank God for the faithful ones who began with us in 1975, who are still here, and those who came later and remain. For their faithfulness we give thanks to God.

We thank God for those who will be coming to continue this great work and carry out the vision.

We give thanks to God who always causes us to triumph!!!!
