Before you start spend 5 minutes thanking God for the Word and asking Him to open up your heart and mind to understand and apply His Holy Word in your life.
 
The Bible is an academic and spiritual book. It teaches us about the character, works and thoughts of God. It is recorded history meant to inspire faith, awe, love, obedience and worship.
